Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T7400 @ 2.16GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.2GHz
Memory: 2046MB RAM
Page File: 1449MB used, 2881MB available

Manufacturer: NVIDIA
Chip type: GeForce Go 7950 GTX

It was suppose to be a gaming laptop, atleast back then.

Now it lags even on low quality setting.

ok,

processor: u have a dual core 2.2 ghz processor. This is not great, honestly, its usable/average.

operating system: vista ultimate. Vista is known to be slow and annoying. if u dont want to upgrade to windows 7, then just stay with vista. an upgrade to windows 7 would make ur pc boot faster, and run faster. so i highly recommend it. vista is ok, but i would upgrade, or u can wait for windows 8 which is coming in the next few years.

ram: u have 2 gigs of ram. now ram lets u run multiple programs at the same time. so the more ram, means u can run many programs quickly. 2gigs isn't much. it is usable/average for ram. 3gigs would be good, and 4 would be great. honestly, u wont need more than 4-6 gigs of ram unless u are video editing or doing some hard core computing.

graphics card: ur card is very old, but it is still ok ish. basically, it can run old games well, and it can run games that dont require hard core graphics. in other words, new games like civ V, portal 2, and any shooter games, u wont be able to play, and if u can, not very well..... the graphics used to be a good card, but today, its pretty bad.

quality: dell : good. dell is known for their great quality. if ur dell ever breaks and u have a warranty, they will send u a new one. if u r not under warranty, dell will still mail you restore disks, which is pretty good customer service.

quality = good
graphics = bad
ram = ok
processor = ok
operating system = ok

i would personally upgrade to windows 7 and upgrade to 4 gigs of ram if u intend to continue using this pc. since its a laptop, u cant upgrade the processor or the graphics, but as long as you dont play hard core games, it should be fine.

though upgrading to windows 7 would cost a lot, so it would be better to buy a new dell.

Those specs are about average by today's standards. If you're serious about gaming you might want to consider an upgrade, but it is sufficient for most other tasks.
