I need to interface an SDRAM ( upto 4M X 16) with a microcontroller - preferably a PIC. Can I run a 133MHz SDRAM chip like the MT48LC4M16A2P at a lower speed than 133Mhz? Please advise.

you might want to look here ...http://www.micron.com/products/ProductDetails.html?product=products/dram/sdram/MT48LC4M16A2P-75+IT
Especially about the Motorola MPC8xx interface?...I didn't se anything that would shunt the 133Mhz down but it did mention it could be used at 66Mhz but you may be losing half it efficiency.
