i am going camping and when i get bored i want to listen to my music but i dont want to waste my battery. just in case i need it, so i want to figure out a way to charge my phone or psp with the solar panels in the calculators. i already took apart the calculator, and seperated the solar panel from the calculator, and i know that if this works it will probably take long to charge though.

Even if you could manage to get it wired up properly, I seriously doubt the calculator's solar panel can provide enough power for a cell phone.

No, a calculator cannot be used as a converter. Your cell phone and PSP take specific current(I) and specific voltage(V). If these values are incorrect both devices will be ruined

Sure you could.  Will it work?  I don't know.  If it works, would it work well?  Doubt it.

Even if you do get it to work, unlikely to provide enough power - you would need a bigger solar panel.

Why not get a wind up charger - they're readily available online and have loads of adaptors - they have a handle that you turn (for ages) and it will charge up your devices.  They also work at night - all you need is a bit of effort.

Build you a small mobile solar panel yourself. Really easy to do...here's a guide. http://www.ehowtomakesolarpanels.com

A calculator's solar panel don't generate enough power to charge your cell phone. There are already-made product on the market to charge cell phone or psp using solar energy.
