Don't say buy a desktop I travel far too much for one it would be more of a waste of money than these. Also I can easily afford either so don't say too expensive. I just want to make sure I'm getting the bang for my buck.

I would go with the Alienware - more powerful processor, and it comes with a decent anti-virus system. The specs are nearly the same for both, you get more bang for buck with the alienware, and you pay less.

They are both about equal in terms of bang for buck. If anything the Sager is better specced as it has a better CPU (only a bit better) and a second hard drive installed.

To be honest? If you're going to spend $3000 bucks on a laptop, at least make it so that it has a solid state drive. It makes a huge difference...

Gaiakai has the specs read wrong -- the Sager is the one with the better CPU.

unless you want to run 3D movies through HDMI, i'd just go with an i7 2630qm. 16gb of ram will never be used unless you plan on using a ram disk. I'd grab something like an Asus or MSI for around $2000 and then throw in a $500 240gb Solid state drive.

2nd: I would get this computer only if i were to use it for minor gaming, surfing the internet (with about 10+ internet explorer tabs open), and for watching dvds or other video entertainment and the storage is very decent.
