ive downloaded minecraft and paid for an account but when i try to start a game it says that something is wrong with my computer

      Bad video card drivers!
      -----------------------

Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

I found a site that told me to check my video card by pressing the window key and r at the same time, my computer is  windows vista 64 bit. under the section of display, the screen says

Device:
Name: Radeon X1300 series (Microsoft Corporation-
Manufacturer: ATI Technologies Inc.
Chip Type: N/A
DAC Type: Internal DAC(400 MHz)
Approx. Total Memory: 891 MB
Current Display Mode: 1024 x 768 (32 bit) (60 hz)
Monitor: Generic PnP Monitor

under drivers it says

Drivers:
Main Driver: atiumdag.dll,atiumdva.dll,atitmmxx.d
Version: 7.14.0010.0443 (English)
WHQL Logo'd: Yes
DDI Version: 9Ex

Direct X Features:
DirectDraw Acceleration: Enabled
Direct 3d Acceleration: Enabled
AGP Texture Acceleration: Enabled

it says that theres no problems found. ive downloaded river robot (every site ive been to has told me to download it) when i try to do the scan it keeps saying that i need an internet connection, needless to say i have an internet connection. obviously something is wrong with the program.

ive never had any problems with any other games or programs. this computer runs stuff like runescape easily. if i need to do any updates just post a link and instructions, im pretty much useless with computers unless i know what im doing.
ive tried both suggestions, im not going to pay for anything tho, and the video seems very helpful, but once again vista takes no break with its aggravation, the bit with the resolution and all that stuff says that my driver does not allow me to change anything unless somethings wrong.... is there anyway that i might be able to change this? im on the administraters account. do i have to buy anything in order to change the settings? youd think that they would just allow you to change stuff...

http://wn.com/How_to_fix_the_error_%27Bad_video_card_drivers%27_on_Minecraft  watch video

Go to start, control panel, display, settings, advanced, troubleshooting, take it from full to just below half, press apply, then ok, then try your game.

If you have windows vista try doing what they did in this video
