Change IP adress to different country, but keep wireless internet connection?
«

I recently moved to the Netherlands, and want to be able use some websites, etc. that I used to only be able to watch in the US. Now, I know how to change my IP adress, and it works fine. But not if I want to change country. If I do that, I lose my wireless connection.
How do I fix this?

Your new provider will assign you an IP addy. You don't have any choice in the matter.

Most likely you are talking about a WiFi internet connection. Your computers is most likely set to recieve the IP automatically. You should be able to connect wirelessly from any hot spot in Europe just as you can in the USA.
As for a wired direct connection you should not need to worry about your IP, For this you will need to subscribe to an ISP (internet service provider), thou this is not very practical if you are just visting.
Most people I know that travel in Europe just use WiFi and find an internet cafe or a hotel that provides a WiFi hotspot. You can usually also find a libary that has computers with internet access.
If you have your network card set up for a static IP you will just need to change to Dynamic (automatic)
